I am very happy to own this FL because I am a big fan of Crystal Kay. I first saw her 'Can't Be Stopped' and 'Boyfriend -Part II-' PVs on the Asian Network in early 2003. At first I was like, wait- a black girl on the Asian Network? I instantly had to found out about her and her music.

This layout was created in Jasc PaintShop Pro and MS Paint. I used the cover of Kuri's「あなたのそばで」single and did some minor changes with color balance, brightness, and texture(s). The font is Sylfaen and the picture was captured from Crystal Kay Official Web Site.

What impresses me the most about CK is how she stays true and proud to her American and Asian cultures. She is not afraid to expose herself to a usually unwelcoming Asian audience, speak their language, and perform her music to the best of her abilities. Even though she brings with her western R&B and hip-hop-influenced music, she incoporates Asian traditions, lyrics, and instruments into her music creating her own style. My favorite album of hers is Crystal Style because it is a great mixture of musical genre and flavor.
