It's summer vacation and the Inners have got dates ... with the Shitennou! In this 50's style beach party number, the Shitennou (in disguise, of course!) compliment and lure the Inners into falling in love with them and going out on a date. It's got a very playful, summer-like beat and I really like the Shitennou's voices. Very cute ^_^

A very cute and hopeful song. At the beginning, Ami sings about her dreams: how she wants to be like an adult but not leave her childhood. Then, the other Inners (Minako, Rei, Makoto) come and advise her to live her dream. Minako encourages everyone to sing about their own dreams and what they want to do with their life. I really like the blend of the Inners' voices in this song; they really remind me of the Anime seiyuu in a lot of ways (you can probably guess what character's singing). Ok, the beat is kinda of "Caribbean-corny," but it's still a fun song that's really uplifting.
Artists: Ohyama Anza & Morino Ayako
I LOVE THIS SONG!!! It is so sad and so beautiful. Ami is leaving off to go to Germany to study (sound familiar) and Usagi runs to the airport to say her last goodbyes. This is so, so emotional, it made me cry the first time I heard it. It starts off with a beautiful oboe solo with light chord accompaniment from the strings. And towards the end when they sing their separate parts together ... Oh! I just die everytime this comes on. My absolute pick!

Silly, silly, silly! This is probably the kind of song you would expect from a Sailormoon musical. All the senshi, including Mamoru, talk about taking a trip to the forest to have a picnic. They pick on Usagi during their solos and show off their own talent. I really like Sada Marie's (Makoto) voice. She really sounds like Shinohara Emi (Jupiter's anime voice actress). Rei's voice is kinda bad; I didn't really like this Rei anyway. Ami, Usagi, and Minako (surprisingly) sound wonderful ^_^. A playful song; something to make you happy.
Artists: Morino Ayako & Mysterious Girl (Takeda Keiko)
Bust out that Electric Guitar Merc! This upbeat "rock" number is Ami's solo/duet during the musical. Ami and a "mysterious girl" sing live about giving up on being all goody-goody and nice and what to just be free to do what they want, when they want, and how they want to; now isn't that the anthemn for the youth today? Morino really shows how she can express the dark-side of Ami in this strong number. Even her harmony with Takeda is good! Definitely a must-listen!
Artist: Morino Ayako
This is Morino's first big solo number! And it's not too shabby; pretty well-in tune. There are a few lyric changes to cover the Mysterious Girl's part, but it's basically the same as the original. I'll admit she does crack and scream a few times but give her some credit; it's her first live solo performance and she's doing good.

Another one of those "musical-like" numbers. The Inners sing this song for their school talent show. It kinda about their dreams and hopes and how pretty they are. Rei and Ami have big solos in this, mostly because they are longest running Inner Senshi actresses during the First Stage. With Rei on guitar, Makoto on bass, Minako on keys, and Ami on drums, it's a giddy, cute, and fun Inner Senshi anthem.
Artists: Ohyama Anza, Morino Ayako, Kotoni Misako, Tahara Hiroko, Kimura Sanae, Saitoh Rei
OMG! This is the most beautiful in all the musicals! Every time I listen/watch this performance I just cry and cry :( Galaxia has given Usagi and her friends a chance to say goodbye to each other. Ami and Rei tell Usagi to hold on and continue living; Usagi begs them not the go saying she can't live without them. Haruka announces that it's time and the Senshi stand up to take their final blow. Galaxia takes kills them but Ami says a few words to Usagi before she dies. In the second part, SPluto speaks to the "Princess" and the two talk about how they treated each other and let themselves grow. Usagi ends in confusion and disarray, all alone. These women have such clear and smooth voices. You can really feel the emotion when they sing. Morino has that sweet innocence in her voice during her solos and shows a very deep connection with Usagi. Highly Recommended!

Artists: Tomemori Akira & Morino Ayako
A very unusual song when I first heard it, but it was still so beautiful. Zoicite (of all people) seduces Ami into falling in love with him by complimenting her describing her personality. Tomemori's voice is excellent! He's not quite what I pictured Zoicite to be, but his range is unbelievable and he can hit them notes so well. Morino sounds so cute when she sings her voice. She still keeps that sweet elegance that makes her so much like Ami. I really like this song because its truly a "myu" song. Quite sweet and beautiful!
Artist: Morino Ayako
This is portion of the song was added to the Final First Stage version of Eien Densetsu. It's Morino's last solo performance and she sounds even better. I like the fact that they added this song to tie in Ami's story to the musical plotline; sort of as a tribute to her dedication to the myu. She sounds quite good and has toned down the screaming from her first live performance. I like it because it shows how she has matured from musical to musical just like Ami did from season to season. When you watch the whole First Stage, this number becomes a truly effective performance.
Artists: Ohyama Anza & Morino Ayako
... words cannot explain how beautiful this song is. It is the a song added to the last day (Senshurakku) performance of Eien Densetsu as a tribute to Morino and Ohyama's 5-year run. The senshi are leaving to fight Galaxia, leaving SMoon behind. SMercury tells her that they must go and they sing to each other. Ohyama is crying throughout the whole song and Morino has to hold back a lot to keep her voice steady. Ohyama is so emotional that she has to stop singing in the end because she can't stop crying. I was bauling like crazy when I heard/saw this! It was so emotional. I can feel how she feels - working for 5 years with your friend and now you have to leave each other. Ugh! I don't think I could sing at all. This performance really made the act just like Usagi and Ami would - Usagi: very emotional and unstable; Ami: insecure but hides it with a calm visage. A MUST- LISTEN for everybody!

Terrible performance! And such a rip off from Eien Densetsu. Same basic setup, Galaxia's killing the Inners and they are singing to SMoon telling her to go on without them. Uranus and Neptune join in the middle. Miyagawa's solo's are all very bland and terribly unstable. You can really tell why this is her only solo in the whole musical. There's very little passion in this whole performance. The only people who sound decent are Hara, Takagi, and Shimada. Very disappointing.

A very materialistic song from a classic musical. The Senshi are on a trip to Kaguya Island, a legendary island that is said to house some of the most precious jewels in the world. The girls dream about jewelry and argue on whether or not to take jewels over love. It's a very cute song with many solo spots and a final jewelry countdown. Hisano's solo is the first after musical interlude. Her voice sounds much smoother on this song than any other she sings. It's quite soothiing and less annoying. A great recording for her first.
Artists: Hara Fumina, Hisano Akamine, Kanda Eri, Kuriyama Emi, Inada Nao
A sad, lonesome piece from the second half of the musical. After learning that they cannot transform on the island, the Senshi are separated from each other and the Inners think about how they could've gotten themselves in this predicament. The beat suddenly changes to something a bit happier and playful as Usagi comes in a sings a very fast and cheerful solo. You really start of her Hisano's annoying voice in this song. Her solo is first and very nasal. She does a lot of unecessary yelling and just ruins the sad feel of the song. I even prefer Inada (SailorV) voice to hers! The version from the 4th stage musical remake is much better.

Another one of those "musical" songs. Usagi is still asleep in bed, and Makoto, Rei, and Minako have come to wake her up. I love their little "ho ho's" - they're so cute. Ami comes in after the break and sings a solo to Usagi. Then the Outers pop-in (I mean literally!) and have their own verse. It's a strange number for this dark musical, but it's still cute. Hisano's solo isn't as bad in KSD, but it doesn't sound Ami-like at all. At first, I thought it was Usagi singing, it's so childish and immature. But the Outers sound great on their entrance!
Artists: Hisano Akamine, Kanda Eri, Kuriyama Emi, Inada Nao
Ami thinks about growing up and fulfilling her dreams but wants to stay young. The Inners come in a they all sing about their dreams and encourage Ami to live hers. Hisano's long solo is NOTHING like Morino's! There is so much cracking and straining, it just sounds so awful! You can tell she had to struggle to keep her voice smooth and Ami-like, but it doesn't sound like she struggled hard enough. She does change her voice volume to match the lyrics, but that doesn't help hide the yelling and screaming. Her speaking part is more Ami-like though. Although I enjoy the chemistry between these girls, their singing is not up-to-par.
Artists: Kanbe Miyuki & Hisano Akamine
These two ruin this beautiful song! Ami is leaving off to study in Germany and Usagi catches up to her to say goodbye. Kanbe's (Usagi's) voice is not smooth at all and is very nasal. Hisano doesn't make up for it when she enters with her screaming and yelling. I mean, you can barely hear the harmony at the end through all the screeching! What happened to the beauty and sadness this song is supposed to evoke? It just makes me laugh when I listen to them trying to sound like Ohyama and Morino (the ORIGINAL Usagi and Ami). Not a good listen at all.

A very good, "soldier-like" number featuring all the senshi. Each girl has a little solo that talks about her powers and her element. It's a huge number and became a tradition for the next 3 musicals. You'll probably wonder why they're saying "bang, bang, bang" and "no, no, no" but the whole musical's confusing so it's all good ^_^. Izawa does not enunciate her solo and it sounds all marbled and gargled. This is her only time to shine she doesn't live up to it. I'll admit, though, she sounds better than SMoon (Kanbe Miyuki) and SNeptune (Asami Yuhka), but she has no life in her voice. I especially like SJup, SPlu, and SSat's parts because they're done so well. A good start for a long-running tradition.

Artist: Kawabe Chieko
A very un-Mercury-like song, but a perfect dance number. Ami talks all about being a good kid and smart, but sometimes, she has to focus on her enemies and get a little "tough." Kawabe's voice complements the fast-moving pace of the song and adds that bit of "umph" to the song. I love the way she doesn't try to strain or anything and just naturally leads up to the note (just like the beat). The is now the trademark Mercury number and is one of the most popular. I personally like Kawabe's version over Wakayama's but that's just me. Trust me, you'll probably like this song!

So beautiful! Usagi is trapped within in the Black Moon's palace and the Inners search trying to find her. They apologize for not being able to protect her, and Usagi apologizes for not being able to return their love. The song then fades into a short excerpt from the Outers' "Broken Mobius" and ends a very mysterious and suspenseful note. Kawabe starts off the solos and does an excellent job. Her voice is quite smooth and very kind; I think she does the best job and singing like her character. I loved it when I heard the Outers come in with their part - it just sort of "completed" the song and made it really good! Even though Jupiter and Mars sound *bleh*, this is probably the best version.
Artists: Kuroki Marina, Kawabe Chieko, Hoshida Megumi, Sugimoto Ayano, Murata Ayumi, Asami Yuhka, Takagi Nao, Hosaka Yuhko, Kakiuchi Ayami
I don't like the way the senshi sound in this version. Each girl has a little solo that talks about her powers and her element. The whole cast sounds very young and too childish - like whiny little brats trying to sing. I guess 'cuz most of this cast is so young, but that didn't stop the TnM girls from sounding a bit more mature. Kawabe's solo is very well-done, but it does start off sounding like Izawa's version. I love the new Venus's (Murata Ayumi) gentle voice and character. Jupiter (Sugimoto Ayano) sounds so awful, I still don't know why they picked her! This version isn't so good, so I wouldn't suggest getting this over the original.

An altered version of "Tabidachi." After the revelation of the new senshi, Usagi and the Inners have conflicting feelings over what to do next. They converse and try to get Usagi to understand. This is a big disappoint and not like the original. It really lacks the sadness and emotion of Usagi and Ami and basically has no point in the musical at all. The singing so-so; but I really hate how they cut off phrases so sharply. You know, that "hitsu DA!" like they're trying to emphasize something and force emotion but it doesn't work at all. I cannot even distinguish Wakayama's voice from the others, they sound so alike! I believe she has the second to last verse before the break but I'm not so sure. Jupiter (Karina) sounds really good, but the others are not up to par. A very poor rendition of a great number.
Artist: Wakayama Manami
This is Wakayama's solo performance from the Mugen Gakuen Kaiteiben (Revision) Fan Event. The volume's pretty low, but you can still hear everything. You know, for some reason, her voice sounds much better during this live performance than her recorded one from SRD. It's a rather good job for her introduction song. Though, the ending is very weak and strained, the overall performance is pretty good. All in all, I'm very proud of Wakayama-sama!

Very cute! Zoicite has just wooed Ami and now she's smitten in love! Her friends discuss how dangerous it is to fall in love and Ami joins in the song. Although Wakayama has no solos, the song is all about her so I decided to include it. I really love the piano/string basic melody; it's very "classical" and "musical- like." The girls sound very feminine and *kawaii* so it all fits well with the song. I love the "Chance! Baby! Come on!" You'll appreciate how sweet the melody is and the happy-go-lucky feel of the song. I think it really shows the sort of blossoming, springy feeling of a first love and just how easily the senshi are dooped. So precious!!
Artists: Kuroki Marina, Wakayama Manami, Kawasaki Aiko, Watanabe Mai, Shibuya Momoko
I'm not so in-love with this version. Many of the phrase ending are chopped-out or overly expressed. Wakayama's begins the song with a clear, nasal solo. She performs this much better live. As each senshi joins, the singing becomes worse until we reach Kawasaki's very cut-off and piercing tone. I understand they are trying to be "breathless" and "in pain" but they could atleast finish a phrase! Shibuya, Wakayama, and Kuroki sound the best, though I cannot compare their sound to the gentleness of the original. What's worse ... no Outers' part! An OK version, but not the best.
Artist: Wakayama Manami
Great beat, choppy voice. In this dance-hit, SMerc sings about paying attention to her goals and not letting anything get in her way; in other words, letting the "mercury drive her." Wakayama's rendition is not off-key or anything, it's just that her voice doesn't fit the flow of the song like Chieko's does. Her notes are very precise but have a very nasal texture. She clips her the end of her words and then stresses them like "rhapsoDY!!" and "tattE!!"; it just sounds amateur and bad. The mixing isn't that well and you can tell they just used the karaoke track from the Eternal Edition as background. I suggest getting Kawabe's version instead.
Artists: Kuroki Marina, Wakayama Manami, Honma Risa, Watanabe Mai, Shibuya Momoko
Very disappointing! I did not like it when this song started playing in the second half of SRD. The Inners try so hard to sound like the First Stage, but they just can't cut it. Wakayama's *long* solo at the beginning emulates Morino's version almost to a tee. She has struggle to sound "like she's dying." Then Marina comes in trying to sound calm and refined, lightly hitting notes like shes NOT supposed to be in pain and about to cry. Probably the most original part is Shibuya's (Ven's) because hers sounds so different from other versions. Watanabe actually sounds pretty good during her little solo; it's much better than her songs from before. And Honma is not worth mentioning. This is just a bad rip-off from a great 1st Stage number. Take my suggestion: stick to the original. You'll be much happier.
Artists: Kuroki Marina, Wakayama Manami, Honma Risa, Watanabe Mai, Shibuya Momoko, Inami Tomoko, Uchida Asako, Hosaka Yuhko, Iizka Yui
The Senshi come together to introduce themselves and tell of each other's strengths. Awww, no Kuroki solo! It was so good on the recorded version; what happened? Wakayama's part sounds very strong, though "un-Mercury-like." Nevertheless, its the most believeable part except for Hosaka's (Pluto's). Mai once again sounds pretty nice on her solo; I'm getting very impressed with her. What's going on Outers?! Why does it sound so weak and so bad??!!! Uchida - the WORST SUranus - sounds the best out of all of them! My wonderful Outers have gone down; the recording is so much better. Yea, get the recording way before you hear this weak live performance.

Stranded on Kaguya, Ami, Chibiusa, Minako, Rei, and Makoto try to figure out why they ended up like they are. Then Usagi bursts in with food and fun in a very Usagi-like second part. I was quite surprised when I heard this version. It's MUCH better than the original; well, Ami, Chibiusa, and Minako's parts atleast. The singing fits very nicely with the distant and lonely mood of the solo guitar background. Wakayama's voice is very smooth and calm; I was very impressed. Her apology at the end fits perfectly with Ami and she really puts the sad song in motion. I'm very glad that she starts off the melody because the others just couldn't handle it (except Oosaki/Chibiusa).
