about the site

You might not have known this, but WS was my first website, long before Innocence! It was originally dedicated to the Outer Senshi but I switched to just H&M in 2001. This site has really grown a lot and I'm very pleased with the progress it has made.

affiliates

Sea of Dreams

This is my first affiliate and a great one at that. SoD is a shrine to the Outers (minus Saturn) by Kyouryoku Senshi.I really like how Val blends the senshi with scenes from the anime as background; it's a really nice effect. But probably the best thing about her site is that its apart of collective that includes an X-Files fanfiction site and a Minako/Rei site. Wow, she's sure got a lot of time on her hands!

Destined Couple

I absolutely love this website! DC is truly a fan-tribute to the destined couple! Saun offers fanfiction and fanart or manga, anime, and musical versions of the couple. The site is divided into four sections, each focusing on a different aspect. This is a great resource for Seramyu video clips of Haruka and Michiru in action and marvelous fanart, fiction, and graphics (I love the icons!). As a 5-year veteran in fiction writing, you can bet things are well polished. Go DC!

webmistress

Glad you wanted to know a little about me! Well for starters, Hi! My name is Bobbie, but I go by "Ami" (just 'cuz I like it). I'm now a college student up in Ohio, majoring in Music Education but brushin' up on my Spanish on the side. I'm currently the principal cellist of my orchestra and I'm a "jazz" violinist in our Jazz Ensemble. It's actually a lot more fun than people think. Mostly because I can play anything and as long as I have a serious face, they think I planned to do it! I now am renting an apartment close to campus and I work as a Night Auditor in a hotel, ˇEncantado de conocerte!

More about me ... I like most types of music: pop, R&B, hip-hop, salsa, classical, and jazz. I'm very much into Asian-style music (JPOP, KPOP, J-Urban, etc.) so much that my entire library is full of Asian CDs! Why? Well, I love the languages, first off. The music over there still has a strong emphasis on lyrics and "making" music rather than just "puttin' a beat on the ground" and "shakin' ur ass" (like American music now). Besides, I can make the lyrics mean anything I want (since my Asian languages are a little rough)! You can catch my all around Jpopmusic Forums as Bob10318. Right now, I'm in to Urban artists like SATOMI', DOUBLE, and MINMI. You may recognize me as the owner of the Sailormercury fansite Innocence (or Innocent-ami.com). But I also run a couple of fanlistings and upcoming sailormoon sites.

Politics? Do really care. It's not my forté. I'm too busy working, trying to stay through this tiring degree, and maintain my place of residence to care much about voting. And don't chastise me; I don't complain about it. Love and Sex? Well ... that's a bit of secret. I'll tell you that I'm not a virgin but I will not disclose my gender/sex/orientation. That just takes the fun out of everything! Religion? I was raised Christian and I still follow the practices. It's very difficult to be religious in my current state but I try to atleast adhere to the practices I believe in. Mostly I make Christianity my own.

why these two?

The first time I saw these two, I was immediately drawn to their attitude and their harshness. I love that "confident" attitude and mysterious presence. See I grew up with the DiC dub so I was a little sick of the "whiny" Inners and Moon. Then when I discovered the original version and all the other senshi, why wouldn't I like H&M. Their relationship was kinda what I wanted - strong, passionate, confident; it was almost "perfect." There are many reasons why one would *love* H&M, but I've picked out the top 5 that keep me interested:

  1. THEIR LOVE IS SO REAL AND TRUE
  2. Yes, I'm a "hopeless romantic!" The first thing that draws me to H&M is their love and passion for each other; it's just so pure, so true - nothing at all like anything today! Probably the best thing about it is that it's between a socially unacceptable couple but is the most pure. I love that classic irony; it makes them defiant and makes us think: hey! maybe love isn't always just between a man and a woman. Takeuchi has done a great service by creating a subtle social criticism within an envied romance. So beautiful ...
  3. THEY HAVE A WHOLE SEASON DEDICATED TO THEM
  4. Well, not JUST about them, but they play very important roles in plot and character development. I think H&M cause the most conflict, on and off screen. For one, they almost break-up the "destined love" and the Prince and Princess (Chiba Mamoru & Tsukino Usagi), fight the soldiers as enemies, and come close to ushering in a new era (the birth of SSaturn); no other senshi have made so many problems in one season (except, perhaps, Tsukino Chibiusa / Sailor Chibi-Moon).
  5. THEY HAVE THE BEST DEATH SCENES OUT OF EVERYONE
  6. Gosh! Don't get me started! H&M die so beautfully and with such passion that sometimes I can't control myself and just cry; and I mean RIVERS! It's always so passionate and unexpected when they sacrifice everything they have to keep the peace - really, truly loyal to the cause. The sweet music that plays in the background adds that cold, sad effect and make their deaths the more vivid and elegant. Who else dies to a violin & piano duet?! No one, that's who! I really like that fact that their deaths are rare so you keep wanting to see more (there are only 2 shown in the anime). The anime producers did an excellent job sustaining the allure and mystery of H&M, even in death.
  7. WHO DOESN'T WANT TO FIGHT WITH A MIRROR AND A SWORD?
  8. The sword, of course, is an obvious weapon; but, I hear so many people complain: "What?! How can you fight with a mirror? Are you gonna make them look at themselves?" Yea, it's an unconventional weapon, but a powerful one! If you're ugly enough, you can kill yourself! But really, it is a bit strange that one of the most powerful weapons on earth is a mirror - kind of a paradox, actually. I mean, we base our decisions a lot on what people think of us or how we reflect ourselves, our statuses and roles, our community, etc. Everything these days is about appearance, so if you don't "look the part," you don't cut it. Now, the next time you think a mirror's a *stupid* weapon, stop yourself while your looking into one and "reflect" on what you think about what you see ...
  9. THE SEXUAL INNUENDOS
  10. You gotta love the sexual references in almost *every* H&M episode. Whether or not they're "doing things as adults" or "not letting go of each other," they always keep that spark and fire in their relationship. Do they have sex? Do they even kiss? I say yes, though it is very hard to prove since they never do anything except get really, REALLY, close; but I like that ambiguity, that mystery. Anything subtle ignites that imagination and make you think of all possible ways it could mean; and H&M use this all the time! You may not like it, but I - as a nymphomanic - love that stuff!

award honors
  1. Heart Throb Award
  2. Mar 02: I just applied for it and got it from Ichi Te: One Hand, Haruka and Michiru, and now closed H&M shrine :(
  3. Award of Purity
  4. Mar 02: I got this award for being a continued supporter of A Dedication to the Sky and Sea topsitelist. It's now on hiatus, but I really appreciated its effort in keeping its members.
  5. Bronze Award
  6. Apr 01: A nice review award from back in the day (2001). I remember this WPR because it was the first one I ever saw. Silver Millenium Reviews actually wasn't bad and even hired me in 2002. The design of this award is one of the best, especially for its time.
  7. Award for a Lovely Uranus/Neptune Shrine
  8. Apr 01: My very first baby! This came from Pluto's Penthouse which is the only site on this page that is still active. I don't remember if I applied for this or if it was a gift, but I remember I really was surprised when I got it.
